Our Founding Story
UniFreund was born from personal experience. Our founders, themselves international students, faced countless challenges when moving to Europe for their studies. From getting a local SIM card without a permanent address to finding trustworthy housing and opening a bank account.
We realized that these weren't isolated problems – millions of international students face the same challenges every year. That's when we decided to build the platform we wished we had when we were students.
